Every Wednesday on Anticipate This! we present our ongoing series of posts titled “They Invented What?” or “TIW?”.  In the TIW? posts, we identify patents or printed publications, sans extensive comment, that we find interesting, amusing, hilarious, and/or downright odd.  And you wondered where the “dash of irreverent humor” came in?  

Unless there is a particular theme we’re concerned with, we typically come across these patents and applications at random.  That being said, we are also willing to take your suggestions.
