USPTO First Quarter Allowance Rate: 44 Percent.

Posted in General Commentary by Jake Ward on February 5, 2008

USPTO Director Jon Dudas held a teleconference today regarding the current Administration’s opposition to the Patent Reform Act of 2007 in its present form.  The teleconference was intended to highlight the views of the Administration as set forth in a letter the Administration recently sent to the Senate Judiciary Committee.

As a point of curiousity (concern?), the newly remodeled PTP blog comments that Director Dudas noted the allowance rate for the first quarter of the current fiscal year is “about 44%.”

PTP also provides other comment on the teleconference with the media here.   Both the Administration’s letter and the PTP notes on the teleconference are interesting reading, if you have a few minutes to spare.
