USPTO Elijah J. McCoy Detroit Office Grand Opening Gala.

Posted in General Commentary by Jake Ward on July 13, 2012

JW Note:  Attended the USPTO Elijah J. McCoy Detroit Office Grand Opening Gala yesterday evening at the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, MI.  Met a number of new Patent Examiners and Administrative Patent Judges (APJs).  Excited to have a satellite patent office located nearby!  This is a great opportunity for Detroit and the surrounding region.

Flawed though it may be, nevertheless the AIA will have helped make possible the opening of four new patent offices; therefore, despite certain other, regrettable provisions, I must applaud the patent reform bill in this respect.

Today is the 5th Anniversary of the Elijah J. McCoy Midwest Regional Patent Office. Seems like the gala was only yesterday!
