Understanding intellectual property (IP) as a business tool is important for both established companies and entrepreneurs. Every established business has IP, in one form or another. IP also has value for entrepreneurs and start-ups, as a way to secure funding and grow new businesses. Licensing of IP can also be an effective way of monetizing new ideas and inventions.

In this seminar, Registered Patent Attorney Jake Ward will provide an overview of IP law, and explain the differences between patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets. He will be available to answer your questions about these important topics. The service is free and open to the public.
