TODAY: US INVENTORS TO HOST INNOVATION LEGISLATION PANEL ON CAPITOL HILL

Posted in General Commentary by Jake Ward on April 18, 2018

(WASHINGTON, DC) – US Inventor, a national organization of thousands of American inventors, joins Inventor’s Project and Inventors Group of America in DC this week for Innovation Legislation, where inventors will meet with members of Congress for a panel discussion about three pro-patent bills. FIFTY inventor leaders from 26 states will be in attendance.

On Tuesday, Andrei Iancu, the Director of the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) surprised presidents of inventors clubs from across the country during their conference at the USPTO. His most remarkable message to inventors was to share their stories to inspire others as they have a critical role to play in innovation.

US Inventor fellow Josh Malone is hopeful Iancu’s message will spread positivity in the world of innovation. As the inventor of the most popular summer toy in America, “Bunch o Balloons,” Malone has fought for years to enforce his patents against a rank infringer – often fighting the previous leadership of the patent office.

“I look forward to Director Iancu’s efforts to create a more pro-innovation dialogue and increasing the reliability of the patent grant,” Malone said. “Wednesday’s panel is our way of sharing our stories and promoting pro-inventor bills.”
