Understanding intellectual property as a business tool is important for both established companies and entrepreneurs. Every business has intellectual property, in one form or another, which are valuable assets of the company. Intellectual property also has value for entrepreneurs and start-ups as a way to secure funding and grow new businesses. Licensing of intellectual property can also be an effective way of monetizing new ideas and inventions. In this seminar, Registered Patent Attorney Jake Ward will provide an overview of intellectual property, and explain the differences between patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets. He will be available to answer your questions about these important topics. The service is free and open to the public.
